Is Apple the new Microsoft?

Ten years ago, Microsoft was the company everyone loved to hate.

The most vociferous Microsoft haters slammed the company for being a greedy industry bully that used its monopolistic, clunky, copycat operating system to force software on users and coerce partners into unfair licensing deals.

Don't look now, but the role of the industry's biggest bully is increasingly played by Apple, not Microsoft. Here's a look at how Apple has shoved Microsoft aside as the company with the worst reputation as a monopolist, copycat and a bully.

Apple the Monopolist
The core complaint about Microsoft in the 1990s was that its Windows market share gave it monopoly power, which it abused in multiple ways. Attorneys General and others zeroed in on the "bundling" of the Internet Explorer Web browser, which they claimed was forced on users because Microsoft offered it as part of Windows.

People love iPods (including me; my family of four has purchased 12 iPods in the past few years). But iPods come bundled with iTunes. Want to buy music from Apple? Guess what? You must install iTunes. Want an Apple cell phone from AT&T? Yep! ITunes is required even if you want only to make phone calls. Want to buy ringtones for your Apple phone? ITunes.

Apple not only "bundles" iTunes with multiple products, it forces you to use it. At least with Internet Explorer, you could always just download a competitor and ignore IE.

Not fair, you might say. Any hardware device that syncs data with a PC as part of its core functionality has software to facilitate that syncing. True enough. But operating systems have browsers as part of core functionality, too. Doesn't Mac OS X come with Safari? Doesn't the iPhone?

And "bundling" works. Steve Jobs bragged this week that Apple has distributed 600 million copies of iTunes to date. The overwhelming majority of those copies were iTunes for Windows. And iTunes for Windows' popularity isn't driven by software product quality. ITunes is the slowest, clunkiest, most nonintuitive application on my system. But I need it because I love my iPods.

At least with Windows, you could reformat your PC and install Linux or any number of other PC-compatible operating systems. Can I reformat my iPod and install something else? Can I uninstall iTunes but keep using the iTunes store and my iPods? Apple strongly discourages all that, claiming that the iPod, the iPod software and iTunes are three components of the same product. But that's what Microsoft said about Windows and IE.

Sorry, Dad
Here's a scenario for you. A consumer walks into a local retail outlet to buy a Christmas present for dad. The Apple iPod "section" of the store dwarfs the section where all the also-ran players are displayed. IPod is clearly the trusted standard. The consumer buys a shiny new "Fatty" iPod nano with video.

Dad opens the present and is excited. He follows the directions, installs iTunes and immediately splurges on a few dozen songs at the iTunes store. He loves it, and is an instant convert to portable digital music.

The only downside is that he works out every day at the gym, where cardio machines face TVs that broadcast sound over FM radio. Six months later, when his iPod is stolen, he goes to buy another player -- this time, he hopes, with an FM radio in it. Several competitors offer this feature, but not iPods. He's about to choose a new player with an FM radio when it hits him: None of his files -- now totaling 300 songs and 50 movies -- will play on the new player. He bought and paid for all this content, but it only works with iPods and iTunes.

Apple has an iPod customer for life. Microsoft never had this kind of monopoly power. Sorry, dad. I should have bought you a tie.

Sticker Shock
Another clue that a company has monopoly power is when you find yourself suffering sticker shock. How many times have you stood in line at the theater megaplex and marveled at the chutzpah required to charge $4.50 for a soft drink, when the same beverage is one-third the price at the quickie mart 50 feet outside the theater doors? But -- so sorry! -- no outside food or beverages are allowed in the theater. The theater has a monopoly on soft drink sales, and you'll pay what they charge.

That same shock rippled through the iPhone enthusiast community yesterday when Jobs announced with a straight face that iPhone ringtones based on iTunes songs would cost the full price of the song, plus 99 cents extra. What? The full song costs 99 cents! How on Earth can Apple seriously charge the same amount again for the ability to hear just 30 seconds of the song -- the same length as the free iTunes "samples"?

Apple fully understands the power of monopoly pricing. The company has sold the 8GB iPhone for two prices in its short, three months of existence: $599 and, now, $399. When the iPhone was the only way to get the whole multitouch, big-screen, Wi-Fi iPod experience -- when the product had no alternatives -- the price was $599. One analyst estimated Apple's cost to build an iPhone is $245.83. I don't know if that's true but, if so, more than half the user cost was profit. That's theater soda pricing. But as soon as Apple introduced an alternative to the iPhone -- the iPod Touch -- Apple dropped the price by one-third.

Imagine if another company were allowed to compete in the OS X media player market. These players would all drop to below $300. Don't hold your breath, though; it'll never happen. Apple has the power to exclude all others from software than runs on its media players. Microsoft could only dream of such power.

Apple the Copycat
Ten years ago, Microsoft haters complained that Windows followed the Mac OS to market as a graphical user interface, copying the Mac's features such as folders, trash cans, resizable windows and other elements. That complaint was repeated with each new version of Windows -- Apple was the innovator in the operating system space, and got there first with a host of key features. Microsoft just came along later, duplicated features that Apple pioneered, and reaped the benefit because of its monopoly power.

But who's innovating now? The LG KE850 was winning awards for its full-screen, touch-screen, on-screen keyboard before Jobs even announced the iPhone.

The best thing about the iPhone and iPod Touch -- the warm-and-fuzzy multitouch UI with gestures -- wasn't new, either. Various labs have been demonstrating similar UIs for more than a decade, and even Microsoft demonstrated a fully realized 3G UI in May, well before Apple shipped the iPhone. Microsoft will ship its tabletop UI, called Microsoft Surface, in November, and Apple will likely enter this space with a 3G UI months or years after Microsoft does.

And Wi-Fi in a media player? Ha! Microsoft's funky Zune had that almost a year before Apple did and SanDisk's Sansa Connect with Wi-Fi was released last June. Apple even stole the name for its iPod Touch product, according to HTC, which sells a touch-screen smart phone called the HTC Touch.

Don't get me wrong. I think Apple's execution of these features is far better than its competitors'. And it would be horrible decision-making to not build the iPhone simply because others pioneered key features. But that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about Apple doing what Microsoft did: dominating the market with features other companies had first. If it was fair to slam Microsoft over Windows, it's fair to slam Apple over the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Apple the Bully
Microsoft used to be the big bully, pushing everyone around and dictating terms to partners. Microsoft has lost its edge in this regard -- most of Microsoft's major resellers brazenly hawk Linux. Even Intel -- the "tel" part of "Wintel" -- is powering Macs these days. Microsoft is still profitable, but it has lost control -- and has lost its reputation as the bully nobody can say no to.

Meanwhile, Jobs has suddenly become the most feared man in Hollywood, bragging Thursday about Apple's scary dominance in digital media sales. Apple has sold more than 3 billion songs and 95 million TV shows via iTunes. While music CD sales crash and burn, almost one-third of all music sales are now digital. As Jobs euphemistically said yesterday, "iTunes is leading the way."

Although full details haven't been revealed, NBC apparently wanted more "flexibility" to charge higher prices for its TV shows on iTunes. Apple said no, and NBC was sent packing. NBC now plans to sell shows on alternative locations, such as its own Web site and on Amazon.com. Prediction: NBC will come crawling back to Apple and beg the company for inclusion, and on Apple's terms. Why? Because iTunes is increasingly becoming the only venue in which media companies can succeed selling music and TV show.

Jobs rules like Bill Gates never did. If you want to succeed in the digital music or downloadable TV business, you'll do things his way.

Why I Support Apple
After reading my preceding comments, you may be surprised at my next statement: I come not to bury Apple, but to support it.

You see, my point isn't that Apple's growing bad reputation is deserved, but that Microsoft's wasn't. All that evil monopoly hype, court cases and public posturing directed for so long at Microsoft drained energy and resources from the entire industry. The market, however, corrects issues such as that. In the case of Microsoft's "monopoly," Linux, Firefox and now Apple prove that customers always had choices.

The same goes for Apple.

As pundits, bloggers, users, politicians, Hollywood big shots, regulators, lawyers and competitors increasingly bash Apple, accuse it of unfair play and call for legal and regulatory action, I will defend it, as I defended Microsoft. It's fun to slam big, powerful companies that are dominating their markets. But in the final analysis, Apple has earned its growing power and influence, just like Microsoft did.

Is Apple a monopolist, copycat and bully? Yes, and deservedly so. And if anyone thinks Apple's success is a problem, well, bringing in the lawyers wasn't the solution for Microsoft, and it won't be the solution for Apple.

Protecting your iPhone and iPad from Theft

Step 1 – Protecting Your Device First, a few relevant iPhone/iPad security points: Always use the passcode lock: Settings > General > Passcode Lock. This is the most basic of security features, and probably the one I also recommend the most. Most people tend to store emails, contacts, SMS, calendars, and all kinds of other info on their smartphones. In the event your phone is lost or stolen, you’re going to want to ensure that a random stranger won’t be able to get access to your personal information. I also recommend setting it to Auto-Lock after 1 minute. Update your iOS devices: Keep your iPhone or iPad up to date by reguarly applying updated in iTunes. This will ensure you have the latest security patches, and fix bugs such as the one in iOS 4.1 that allowed a thief to bypass the iOS passcode lock and make calls, read emails, etc. Set a SIM PIN: Settings > Phone > SIM PIN > On. This is probably one of the most underused security features (which exists on any phone), and prevents someone from removing your SIM card, placing it in another phone, and making unlimited calls. [Optional] Erase Data after 10 failed passcode attempts: Settings > General > Passcode Lock. This feature allows you to make sure that someone won’t be able to brute force their way into your device. After ten attempts, the iPhone/iPad will erase itself. This one is up to you, as it does create two potential problems. Firstly, it could allow someone with enough time to erase your device (annoying); and secondly if the device gets erased, you won’t be able to track it. I still recommend using this. [Advanced] Use the iPhone Configuration Utility: Apple provides a free iPhone Configuration Utility (Mac/Windows) that allows you to set higher security requirements. These include a longer passcode, less attempts (5) before an automatic wipe, and other security settings. This tool is normally used by Enterprise users to configure company phones, but advanced users may be interested in looking at the options provided. Next, find your device’s Serial Number and IMEI Number (phones only), and write them down somewhere (not on the device), as you may need these at a later date. The IMEI is a unique number used by GSM networks to identify valid phones, and can be used to block lost or stolen devices (this is explained further down).  On iOS you can find these in Settings > General > About. On any mobile phone you can get the IMEI by entering *#06# on the phone’s keypad.

Step 2 – Setting up Tracking When Apple released iOS 4.2, they announced that they were making their Find My iPhone service free to everyone. The service, previously only available to paying MobileMe customers, allows you to geolocate your device, send it messages, or wipe it remotely. To set up Find My iPhone on your device, follow these instructions: On the device, tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add account. Then, tap MobileMe and sign in with your Apple ID (the account you use for iTunes or App Store purchases), or create a new Apple ID for free. Then, follow the onscreen instructions to complete signing up for a free MobileMe account and activating Find My iPhone. (Apple) For Find My iPhone to function properly, you will need to have Location Services turned On (Settings > General > Location Services). Once you have it set up, remember to log in and test it to make sure it’s working! You should see your device on a map: On a privacy side-note: If you enable Find My iPhone on your device, remember that anyone who can gain access to your MobileMe account will be able to see where you are. If you ever want to disable Find My iPhone, you can do this in: Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > MobileMe Account > Find My iPhone > Off. If your device is stolen when this is off, you won’t be able to track it.

Step 3 – Recovering Your Device So, you’ve gone and lost your iPhone, or had your iPad stolen. Well done! Now we can have fun trying to get it back. First of all… if it’s your phone, have you tried calling it? If it’s a shiny iPhone 4, chances are this will happen, unless Jesus himself found your phone. Stay calm, I’m here to help! If you’ve followed the steps above, you should be able to geolocate your device. For this to work you will need to hope that your iPhone or iPad has an of internet connection (3G or Wifi). As you hopefully tested in Step 2 above, log in to MobileMe to see where your phone is. If you’re still in a bar and your device has just gone missing, or you want to be able to stalk the thief, you can install the free Find My iPhone app onto another (friend’s?) iOS device. At this point you can try to track down and confront the thief yourself (not recommended unless you have backup) – or – file a police report and get them to go pick it up for you. You can also send messages to the phone to try and convince them to return it. And you will be able to track it easily. If you can’t track your iPhone on the first try, keep trying, as sometimes it may be out of signal range or out of power. A thief will probably need to plug the phone in prior to restoring it, so if you’re paying attention you may be able to get his home location just before your phone is erased! Check out these stories of a guy who recovered his phone, and another who recovered his car, using Find My iPhone. See the short video below:-

Step 4 – Recovery Failed: What Now? So now your iPhone’s been missing for a while, and you haven’t been able to track it down. The thief may have turned the phone off, erased it or removed the SIM card. Or the thief is in another country, and you’re getting no help from the authorities (and don’t want to get it yourself). At this point tracking is unfortunately no longer an option, and many people give up. Do not despair, for there is yet hope! If, for some reason, you didn’t set a SIM PIN, the first thing you’ll want to do is inform your phone provider/carrier to disable your SIM and potentially save you many dollars of calls. Next, file a police report and give them your device’s serial number and IMEI (phone only). Thieves occasionally get nabbed with a whole bunch of stolen stuff, this way they’ll be able to return your device to you. You may want to consider wiping your device to ensure that your personal data does not fall into the wrong hands. You can remotely wipe your device from within Find My iPhone, but note that once your device is wiped, you will no longer be able to track it. The final step, to be taken when you’re pretty sure your phone will never return, is to disable it so that it will be useless to anyone else. You can give your carrier your phone’s IMEI, and they can blacklist it, essentially rendering the phone useless (nice paperweight though). At that point if you do manage to get your phone back, however, you won’t be able to use it as it’s not possible to remove a device from the IMEI blacklist (to my knowledge). Note that not all carriers in all countries are willing to add devices to the blacklist. Finally… I hope that this article will help at least one person to successfully recover a lost or stolen device.
If you know anyone who may not be familiar the ways they can protect themselves, I encourage you to share this with them. If you have any questions please feel free to post a comment below, or start a thread in the forums!
That's it for the Todays Blog

Apple to release iPhone 5? Really!

Apple may be planning to release a refreshed, SIM-card-free version of the iPhone 5 with a new 8 megapixel camera sometime in August 2011.
There has been no shortage of whispers and rumors surrounding Apple’s fifth-generation of the iPhone, due for launch sometime in the upcoming months. The latest rumor, reported by Macotakara, suggests that the next iPhone won’t be a significant departure from the company’s iPhone 4, and the major changes will come in the form of an ARM Cortex-A9 based processor, an 8 megapixel camera, won’t require a SIM card, and will be “world phone” capable. It was unconfirmed as to whether or not the new processor would be dual-core or single.

If the rumors are correct, it would mean that a single model would be able to support both GSM networks, such as AT&T, and CDMA networks, such as Verizon. Qualcomm has been pegged as the supplier of the world phone chipsets, and they do have such an offering currently available. However, the “late July or early August” timeframe stated by the site goes against their earlier prediction of a “fiscal 2012 launch” that was made in March of this year.

Macotakara also suggests that the next “major new handset” from Apple won’t arrive until 2012 – sometime in the spring. This timeframe for the potential “iPhone 6” was leaked by a Japanese newspaper in April, saying that Apple had selected Sharp to supply the display technology for the new handset. It’s expected that Apple and Sharp are developing poly-silicon LCD displays that operate at a lower temperature than current models, allowing them to be thinner and lighter.

These recent rumors both agree with and contradict the other whispers that have been circulating around Apple’s newest handset. A Concord Securities analyst covering the iPhone recently reported that the handset will only have “slight modifications” from the iPhone 4, including “a new 8 megapixel rear camera”. Stephane Richard, CEO of Orange, was recently quoted as saying that carriers had been working with Apple to develop a “smaller and thinner SIM card” – which was to avoid using the embedded SIM technology that Macotakara thinks will be in the new iPhone. Carriers largely panned the idea, as they stand to lose quite a bit of control without the SIM card technology being a requirement.

A number of sources have commented on other changes to the rear camera, including moving the flash to the opposite side of the iPhone. This would improve picture quality and significantly diminish artifacts such as “red-eye”. No new rumors came from this report, but it would be a surprise if this plan was deviated from by Apple.

As to whether or not these latest rumors will prove true – Macotakara has been correct in the past. The site previously reported that the iPad 2 would launch with a smaller bezel, larger speaker and a flat back; all of these came true upon launch. Only time will tell if their predictions about Apple’s next iPhone come true as well.

Well what I think is that Apple would making a blunder mistake launching their 5th GEN. so soon as they have just launched iPhone 4 in 2011 so why will they launch it in the same year. All these blogs about it are just for the promotional purpose please don’t pay any attention towards them, I know that after writing all this I would be contradicting my own Blog but “LET TRUTH PREVAIL”

Thats it for the today’s blog

That's how it would be in the future I have just copied this Image from one of the rumors site only. http://junglymobile.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/apple-iphone5.jpg

iPhone 4 finally launched in India

It seems that the long wait of one year by the avid users of latest mobiles for the latest version of Apple’s iPhone 4 has ended. With the Apple’s next-generation smartphone hitting the stores worldwide, the iPhone 4 was showcased by Bharti Airtel on Friday in the world’s second most competitive market for mobile phones, India, across 34 cities with a bang.

Though many companies have tried to redraft the feature and application of the iPhone 4, Airtel CEO (West Bengal and Orissa) PD Sharma had claimed, “iPhone 4 will stand out for its original applications and cater to the middle segment as well, with attractive pricing which will not create a pinch both in the long and short term”.

With the news making reverberations in the contours of the market, large number of tech savvy groups were seen gazing at the seamless beauty of iPhone 4, despite of its high end prices for Rs 34,500 for the 16GB model and Rs 40,900 for the 32GB model.

In order to take benefit from the hoopla surrounding iPhone 4, Airtel and Aircel are offering lucrative schemes to the customers. Confirming the strategic approach adopted by telecom companies in India to beat the neck to neck competition, P. D. Sharma explained the reverse subsidy schemes, in which cost of the phone can be recovered by customer through discounts in mobile bills over a period of two years, which has already impacted Chinese market. Launching iPhone in a country like India where everyone is just mad for the technology was a good step by the Apple and the others who took the initiative to bring this masterpiece to India.
I have bought one and I am using Airtel plans and even though it’s 3G, so I enjoy the full benefits of it, I always carry my iPad with me so when ever I need a WiFi connection or a hotspot connection I turn on my iPhone Personal Hot-Spot feature in the setting section and with the help of the Bluetooth feature I run my iPad with a Personal WiFi connectivity. And even though I get a speed of about 16.2 MBPS it’s amazing to search the web with great speed.

So that’s it for the today’s Blog

Mac OS X Lion-The New Operating System

Hey everyone, I am writing a Blog after a very long time because what I was thinking was that "What to Write?". I got my motive and today I am writing on the Got-To-Release OS(Operating System), by Apple. Yes, atlas they are into the software thing after their huge success in the "iPad 2" thing did you know by March 2011, they have sold their 2 Million Pieces of it. Alright let me come down to business that Apple is releasing its new Macintosh OS(Operating System) in the month of June,2011. Actually the concept of this OS is that is based on the IOS of the iPad like, they are taking out their best thinking from the iPad and bringing it all to the Mac with Mac OS X Lion, available in summer 2011 as I mentioned earlier.
They were actually launching their Mac App Store for Macintosh's with the Lion package but due to the promotional purpose they issued Mac Store with the System Update [click "here" to learn how to get Mac App Store]. Some of the features includes are like the "Launchpad", "Full-Screen apps", "Mission Control", "Gesture and Animation"(could only be used in the Magic mouse, new MacBook or Pro and in the MacBook Air), "Auto Save",  "Reume"-the Best, "Mail 5"-same as the iPad thing but awsome, "AiDrop", All-new FileVault", "Lion Server".

All these features are being included in the new release of their Mac OS X Lion. You can get their brief information by clicking "here". It would direct you to Apple Website directly where you can get all the Information.
The best part of the new OS whcih I liked the most is the "Mail 5" and the "Resume". If you have restatedyour MAc, you know what's invloved. First you save your work whatevre you are doing and Close and Quit all the Apps and then spend your vauable time setting everything up again. With Resume, that time-after the Software Update, for example-and return to what you were doing. With all your apps back in the exact places you left them. In fact, whenever you quit and launch app, Resume opens it precisely the way you have lest it. So you never have to start from scratch again. Well I copied it from the  Apple site

Here are some pictures of the Mac OS X Lion

Mac App Store-Buy Apps online

Launchpad-launches all your Apps in the Mac.

One could make Folders like in the iPod,iPhone or iPad(Ver.4.1or Later).
Group your apps any way you like using folders.

Full Screen Apps.

Mission Comtrol-just like the Expose´ in the New Look.

Resume-starts the page wherever you have left after any powere failure of Restaring.

iPad 2 Rumors

Yes, its true but what can we do. There were rumors all over the World about the iPad 2, and finally Apple has recently launched their Masterpiece iPad 2 in the month of March can't wait to buy this Angel.
It is believed that Apple has already sold more than 15 Million iPad's of its 1st Generartion, and the market strategy is expected to rise for this Masterpiece.
As soon as it is launched on 11th March,2011 I am surely buying it and really anyone could spend about $800(Wi-Fi and 3G), for it as I will do.
iPad 2 The Masterpiece
Why this iPad
Firstly because it is AWESOME, just kidding let me come down to business, it is Lighter, Thinner, and fill of great Idea. It's 33percent thinner than the earlier model of the iPad and upto 15 percent lighter and 2 Times Faster as it has A5 Apple Chip, and it feels more comfortable in your hand as per the Apple's site information. And really the experience you get for surfing the Web, Cheacking the Mails, Watching Movies and Reading Books so natural that you may even forget ther;s a technology under yours Fingers.

It has a Dual-Core A5 chip, it'a Fater even 2 Times. The two powerful chips are so faster that it will make you feel like you are holding 2 iPad in one hand. You will notice the difference while surfing the Web, cheacking up the mails, making a Facetime Video calls, gaming, and going app to app I mean Multitasking.

Superfast Graphics so Go Gamers, it has nine times the Graphics performance and even though it has a gyroscope, viewing animation in keynote etc.

The battery life appears to be the same as earlier, it has a 10 hrs. of battery life on the wi-Fi and 9 hrs. on the 3G and the Wi-Fi modals. And the best part is that if the battery is full(100%) then on the sleep mode it can sleep for almost a Month.

It also has a dual camera one on the front and ne on the bach side. Both are HD and they haven't specified the MP(MegaPixels). but the best part is now we can do Facetime with other Macintosh's or iPhone or iPod Touch 4G, and a Camera as wel as Photo Booth. The front camera puts you and your friend face-to-face. Switch to the back camera during your video call to share where you are, who you’re with, or what’s going on around you. When you’re not using FaceTime, let the back camera roll if you see something movie-worthy.

Now come's the best part-iPad smart Cover.
iPad 2 and the Smart Cover are made for each other what I think. They have designed the iPad Smart Cover to work side-by-side with the iPad. and on the top and the underneath it too. It workd with the Smart Magnetic Technology built into each really pulls them together. The iPad Smart Cover falls perfectly into place and stays put to protect your iPad Screen. And the best part is that you open the Smart Cover and your iPad wakes up instantly. Close it and it goes back to the sleep automatically and it comes in 10 colours.

iPad with the Smart Cover.

Everything else is the same like the earlier one only those things which I wrote were different in this Generation. And one more feature is that it has a Airplay there is video below play to get the Brief info about the Smart Cover.

So this it for the Today's Blog
So Rest in Next.

"....may only have 6 weeks...."

Today my Blog, would not be about the latest release of softwares, hardware or my opinion about the product but today, I am writing about a 'Person' who changed the whole aspect of the word "LIFE".
Yes, really no one could have imagined the world which is now in PRESENT, but someone imagined it in his Past.
Yes, everyone want to earn a lot of money by working hard but in which field - like a 'Goat' where everyone follows each other but like a lion he went alone and changed everything.

You must be wondering who is thss person who Changed Everything but never Changed himself. That person is - Steve Jobs. A person who sacrificed  his past, for our better future.

Today, there are so many words but everything comes to one conclusion that he is the Best. Doctor's at Stanford Cancer Center, says that "Steve may have only six weeks to live" as he is suffering from Pancreatic Cancer. I do not want to comment oh is health condition because while going on for the medication he told that he wanted complete Privacy. So, I won't be commenting on his health.

But the only thing that which I or the other people who are reading my blog can do is PRAY.

So, that's it for the todays Blog,

About Steve.

Steve of his earlier times.

Steve Jobs is the CEO of the multinational co-operation Apple Inc.

Jobs was born in San Francisco and was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs of Mountain View, California, who named him later Steven paul. Jobs attended Cupertino Junior High School and Homestead School in Cupertino, California, and frequented after-school lectures at the Hewlett-Packard Company in Palo Alto, California.  He was soon hired there and worked with Steve Wozniak as a summer employee. In 1972, Jobs graduated from high school and enrolled in Reed College in Portland, Oregon.
Although he dropped out after First Semester, he continued auditing classes at Reed, such as one in calligraphy, while sleeping on the floor in friend's room, returning Coke bottles for food money, and use to get weekly free meals at the local Hare Krishna temple.
Jobs later stated "If i had never dropped in on that single course in college, the mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts."
In the autumn of 1974, Jobs returned to california and began attending meetings of the Homebrew Computer Club with Wozniak. He took a job asa technician at Atari , Manufacturer of popular video game, with the primary intent of saving money for a spiritual retreat to India.
Jobs then traveled to India with a Reed College friend (and later, the first Apple Employee), Daniel Kottke, in search of spiritual enlightenment. He came back a Buddhist with his head shaved and wearing the Traditional Indian Clothes.

Jobs History in business has contributed much to the symbolic image of the idiosyncratic, individualistic Silicon Valley entrepreneur, emphasizing the importance of design and understanding the crucial role aesthetics play in public appeal. His work driving forward the development of products that are both functional  and elegant has earned him a devoted following.
Jobs is listed as either primary inventor or co-inventer in over 230 awarded patents or patent application related application related to a range of technologies from actual computer and portable devices to user interface(including touch-based), speakers, keyboard, power adapters, staircases, clasps, sleeves. lanyards and packages.

Rumore for iPhone 5

I Know that I am writing two Blog on a same day but something just really flashed in my head to write this Blog which is the Rumors of the New "iPhone 5".

There are Rumors all over the World for the new "iPhone 5". I don't know which people exactly are plotting this up because as per my research I did not find any kind of site which do tell us the exact "Rumor Story" for the new release of the thing.

And why would Apple launch iPhone 5 so early as they have just launched it's iPhone 4 in June 24,2010 it has not been even an year with their release of iPhone 4. So all the Blogger's and the people who were into this stuff of making this kind of Rumor please be Dis-Hartend, as they are not into the release of it as I even spoke to one of the Company's Representative's about it, I know that you must be thinking that why would a representative be telling me all of this but between our chat I could easily make out that Apple will not be releasing even any new "Hardware" before the month of June and you must be knowing that Apple would be releasing it's New OS(Operating System), that would be MAC OS X Lion as currently they are issuing or all the built-in Mac are running MAC OS X Snow Leopard. Some even say's that the new iPhone 5 would be having a 4-5.5 inches of display, well my dad also told me the same while he saw me writing this Blog so I thought to add this up too

I always wonder that why does Steve always name it's Software with the name of an Dangerous Animal, maybe, to Scare Bill-LOL. No really, I always wonder why? If anyone is having the answer then please do let me know. Some says that it is His Lucky Charm -maybe.

I know that this blog of mine has no Relation with the Blogs which I write relating with new release of Softwares, Hardware, my personal opinion about the product but really I found interesting writing Blog with such a Big Rumor as I can not accept any kind of Blind Stories for the Two Companies(Apple & Microsoft) as both the companies are my Favorite.

Current iPhone 4-What could be better than this Master Piece?

Two is Better Than One

Like Microsoft even Apple has played Smarter step, earlier iPhone was only available to the AT&T Customers but now it is available to the customers who were with the Verizon Networks, as in U.S. 0.93 Millions are with the Verizon.
So if anyone is using a Verizon a Networks then he/she can also buy a iPhone 4. I am not sure whether the same is applied to the earlier modals of the iPhone, as per the latest report on the web page of Apple.com dated February 14,2011 it says the same that even Verizon Customers can also buy the iPhone.
As "The Two is Better Than One" it means that "Two" AT&T and Verizon customers are welcomed in the Apple Family.
iPhone in the Verizon Network

Well what I think is that this Major step of Apple would be landing them into Profit. Whatever be it I am not gaining or loosing anything. There has been no crazy thing going on with the release of it.
So, I think this is it for the today's Blog.

So wait for the other Sizzling  Blog by me as in

Microsoft and Nokia to Build a New Mobile Ecosystem

Everyone was eager to know that will Nokia Phone would also be having software form another Company like Motorolo, Samsung, LG, etc. have Android from Google or Apple OS in iphone and YES, in future Nokia would be having a Software, not from Google or Apple but from Microsoft in which the Key Operating System would be of Microsoft and they would be running Windows Mobile Operating System in Nokia Phones.

Once again Microsoft jumps into the Mobile World, but this time they are playing smarter as earlier all the Windows phone were designed for HTC(High Tech Computers) but now they had a deal with with Nokia that now they would be making windows phone for HTC as well as for Nokia.
I earlier commented that they are playing smarter because Nokia holds about more number of consumers than HTC in the world, so it would be easy for them to communicate with the world on a larger scale. Additionally, Nokia and Microsoft plan to work hard together to integrate key assets and crate completely new service offerings, while extending established products and services too new market.

Their Logo would be something like this.

Some Key points to remember:-
1) Nokia would adopt Windows Phone as its principle smartphone, innovating on top of the platform in areas like imaging where Nokia is a market leader.
2) Nokia would help the future Windows phone like in contributing in expenses on hardware design, language support, and help bring Windows Phone to a larger range of price point, market segments and geographies.
3) Unlike Google Maps Nokia would be providing it's own Nokia Maps in built in Windows phone which might be a core part of Microsoft's mapping services. Like Maps would searched from Microsoft's Bing Search Engine, adCentre advertising program to form a local search and advertising experience.
4) Nokia would make it easier for consumers to purchase Nokia Phone services in countries where credit-card use is low.
5) Developers would not be having problem in making the programs as both the companies have outsourced the program like Apple did by launching SDK, where anyone can make a software for free and can earn by just giving a small revenue of what they earn.

This is just a demo piece what in future Nokia phone would look like
"I am exited about this partnership with Nokia," said Steven A. Ballmer, Microsoft CEO

What my Intuition is that in future their would be mess for consumer to buy a product from such  a wide PRODUCT of CELL PHONE having DIFFERENT OS(Operating System).

What was Apple Thinking?

With the great success after the launch of iPhone in January 9, 2007 they launched iPod Touch in the same year on September 5, 2007. They thought of making something new in their hardware so they waited patiently of about three years and on April, 2010 the launched their Tab called "iPad". Hence today my blog is about their product"iPad"
iPad is a tablet computer design which does all the work as it helps a person in many ways. It has helped me for sure. This is usually used for listening to music, playing interactive games(includes 3D too), can play movies and videos and last but not the least it is a great success at the web. Its size and weight fall between smart-phones and laptops. According to report released by Strategy Analytics, the Apple iPad has gained a 95% share of Tablet PC sales at the end of second quarter 2010. During the second quarter 2010, Apple had soled 4.19 million iPads around the world even I have bought it and it is awesome.
iPad
The OS(Operating System) of iPad is same as iPhone and iPod Touch. It can run any software made for iPodTouch or iPhone even though the programmers have started building APP's especially for iPad. One can purchase the App's from the App Store either from the iTunes(Mac or PC) or one can buy directly from the built in App Store in the iPad. Actually what I think is that the developers of this iPad has just made a BIG BROTHER of iPod Touch the only exceptional it has is that you will get a 3G support with it.

It is also controlled by the multi-touch display and the coolest thing about it is, like earlier modals of the Tablet(excluding Apple as this is their first Tab) you needed to push hard with your fingers or you had to use a stylus in case, which was damn irritating. Spending more money in their RnD the touchscreen is awesome. What I think is that in the case of touchscreen no one can ever beat Apple as they spend Millions-of-Millions $ just for the RnD.

Very few may know that when did Apple launched it's first Tablet Computer? Apple first Tablet Computer was the Newton MessagePad100, which was introduce in 1993, which let to the creation of the ARM6 processor core with Acorn Computers. Apple also developed PowerBook Duo-based tablet, the PenLite, but in order to avoid hurting MessagePad sales did not sell it. Apple release several more Newton-based PSAs, and discontinued last, the MessagePad 2100, in 1998.
Newton MessagePad

iPads Screen and Input
iPad's touchscreen display is a 9.7 in (25 cm.) LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having 1024 x 768 pixels with a fingerprint-resistance and scratch-resistant glass. Steve Jobs once commented when the size if the iPad was decreased and that was "too small to express the software" He said that around 10 inches would work. If you want to write something in your own handwriting then their is a special Capacitive Styli designed for the use.
The display responds to two other sensors, an ambient light sensor to adjust scree n brightness and a 3-axiis Accelerometer to sense the iPad's Orientation and to switch between the portrait and landscape modes.
If you personally ask my opinion then the screen input is marvelous. As I have mentioned earlier that the respond as well as the experience of the touch is awesome and no one can beat them in.

Connectivity
iPad has a built in Wi-Fi Connectivity as well as a 3G connectivity. All the 3G plans are sold separately varying country to country like in India we have for Airtel or TATA. The speed is quite impressive too. I don'nt really have any kind of problems with my 3G speed. It also has a inbuilt  Bluetooth®( 2.1 + EDR) which can be used wirelessly for headphones and keyboard and mouse only bluetooth ones. Bit the only problem which it faces is that it can not transfer any file via Bluetooth. iPad also features 1024 x 768 video output for connectivity an external display or television. But I am really disappointed that it can not even connect to any cell phone to exchange any photos or video. I had to Jailbreak my devise to do it. Really disappointed!!!

Apple bluetooth keyboard connected to iPad

Apple claims that the iPad's battery can provide up to 10 hours of video and 140 hours of audio playback or one month on standby. Their are three modals of iPad 16 GB, 32GB, 64GB. All the data are stored in the inbuilt flash-drive.

The best feature of iPad can only be used while surfing the web or checking your mails. It's Retina Display is quite pretty. They have really worked hard this time to tell the market "What is a Tablet?". It also has a feature of reading books in it called "iBooks" where e-Books can be purchased from the iBook store(currently all the books are free) but let me tell you one thing the feeling you get reading an actual book is totally different with it.
In the end what my experience says is that it is worth buying and iPad.
So, that's it for the todays blog I would be writing a blog on softwares provided by Microsoft and a comparison would be done with the softwares of Apple.
